His Grace Archbishop Mar Ivanios invited Rev. Fr. Placid Podipara CMI of the CMI Congregation, Mannanam to collect and codify the canons for the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church at the initial stages of the Re-union Movement. Fr Placid Podipara CMI was a well-known theologian, historian and a linguist. In gratitude to his services to the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church and to the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum, an Office Complex for the Higher Education Department was dedicated in honour of Rev. Fr. Placid Podipara CMI. His Beatitude Baselios Cardinal Cleemis blessed the office Complex and Rev. Fr. Thomas Chathamaparmbil CMI, the Prior General of CMI Congregation inaugurated the Bhavan in the presence of His Excellency Most Rev. Joseph Kallarangatt (Bishop of Palai) at 3.30 p.m. on 15th July 2022 in the Major Archbishop’s House premises, Pattom, Trivandrum.
