History and Development

St. Mary’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Ayoor in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Ayoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1955. On January 1, 1956 it was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. In 2006 it celebrated the Golden Jubilee. The new church was built during the time of Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayyalackal in 2015 and blessed with holy Myron by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
