History and Development

Holy Family Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Moonnamoodu in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Trivandrum.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1934 by the mission work of the Franciscan Brothers. This Parish was established in 1962 by Late Lawrence Mar Ephream.  It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.   Rev.Fr. Seraphion was the first vicar. In 2019 the Presbytery was blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
