History and Development
St. Antony’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Kottavattom in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Punalur. The first community of this parish was formed in 1955. It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. The new church was built during the time of Rev. Fr. Abrham Valuparampil in 1972 and was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.
