History and Development

St. Marys Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Ummannoor in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Ayoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1985.This Parish was established and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios on 15^th August 1987. Rev. Fr. Mathew Kalayil was the first vicar.
