History and Development

St.Paul’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Panayam in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Anchal. The First community of this Parish was formed in 1965. This Parish was established in 1965 and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.  A new church was built during the time of Rev.Fr.Daniel Ayyanethu and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1968. A Grotto was built by Rev.Fr.Abraham Joseph in 1968. The church was rebuilt during the time of Rev.Fr. Thomson and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis in 2018 December.
