History and Development

 

St.Mary’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Kulathupuzha in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Anchal. The First community of this Parish was formed in 1957. This Parish was established in 1957 and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. Rev.Fr Lukose Mackil was the First Vicar. A new church was built during the time of Rev.Fr.Alexander Panicker and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. A Presbytery was built in 1973. A new church was built during the time of Rev.Fr.Joshua Parayil and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis on 27^th April 2008. A Grotto was built during the time of Rev.Fr.Joshua Parayil.
