History and Development

St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Elamadu in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Ayoor. This Parish was established on June 20, 1963. It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. The church was rebuilt during the time of Rev. Fr. Varghese Plavilayil and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
