History and Development
St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Thiruvazhi in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Punalur. The first community of this parish was formed in 1975. This Parish was established and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios on 27th January 1975. The church was renovated and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis on 17th November 2012.
