History and Development

St. James   Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Kadackamon in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Punalur. The first community of this parish was formed in 1944 and was blessed by the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios. This Parish was established n 1968 during the time of Rev. Fr. Thomas Neriyattil.  It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.
