History and Development

St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Thamarakudy in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kottarakkara.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1980. This Parish was established on 11^th April 1980 and was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios during the period of Rev. Fr. Jacob Kizhakkumkara.
