History and Development
St. Thomas Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Panthaplavu in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kottarakkara. The first community of this parish was formed in 1972. This Parish was established on 25th November 1973and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. The first vicar was Rev. Fr. John Chakkulledathu. The church was renovated by Rev. Fr. Johnson Charivukalayil in 2011 and blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis.
