History and Development
St. Mary’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Njarakkad in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kottarakkara.The first community of this parish was formed in 1940 by the mission work of Rev. Alexander Valiyaveettil Cor-Episcopa. This Parish was established and blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1956. The church was renovated during the time of Rev. Fr. John Kuttiyil and blessed by Late Cyril Baselios Catholicos in 2004.
