History and Development

St. Mary’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Kalayapuram West in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kottarakkara. This Parish was established in 1931 by the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios.  A new church was built during the time of Rev. Fr. Thomas Kaithanal. It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios.
