History and Development

St. Antony’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, Plavodu in the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum belongs to the Ecclesiastical district of Kilimanoor.  The first community of this parish was formed in 1970.This Parish was established by Franciscan Brothers. It was blessed by Late Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. The church was renovated by Rev. Fr.Jacob Kulangara in 2005 and blessed by Late His Beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios Catholicos.
